Bald Eagle Writing
Bald Eagle
A Bald Eagle is a type of bird that is nasty sometimes and acts like a bit of a pest. In this report I will be talking about the Bald Eagles Habitat,Diet and Population.
Habitat
Bald eagles live in Canada and Alaska, and in scattered locations all throughout the lower 48 states and Mexico. They live on the top of mountains near water or rivers to get their food source.
Diet
Bald Eagles usually eat things like waterfowl and small mammals like squirrels, prairie dogs, raccoons and rabbits. Bald eagles are opportunistic predators meaning that in addition to hunting for live prey. They eat dead animals.
Population
Population. Bald eagle numbers in the U.S. were guessed to be between 300,000-500,000 in the 1700s. Numbers were once as low as 500 nesting pairs in the lower 48 states. Bald eagle numbers have rebounded since and now the lower 48 states boast over 5,000 nesting pairs.
Bald Eagles are birds that were on the endangered animal list but now on the most threatened animal list. They used to be hunted down and killed in the 19 hundreds. The Bald Eagle is not actually bald it means white headed. The bald eagle is America’s national animal.

BattleShips
Today for maths we had played Battle Sheets. The real name is Battle Ships but sins we did on a google sheets we called it Battle Sheets. We had to ply with a partner. I went with Sanujan and I won (yey!). What you had to do was first there were numbers of letters. So there were 2 f's 3 d's 3 c's 4 b's and 5 a's. What we had to do with them was to put on the grid without the other person looking where your putting your ships (the letters are the ships). You are not allowed to where your partner is putting there ships because if they look they will see where you put your ships and they are gonna always shoot your ships. So what you do is put the letter x in any box you want and if it has the red box that's mean you have shot your enemies ship if you get black you have missed you keep on playing until you have shoot all your enemies ships. If you put your x and shot your enemies ship that means that where they have put one of there ships. This is a very cool and fun game to play. I learnt a lot of how to this. I was a bit struggling on where to put the x to try shoot one of Sanujan's ship. I think for next time I should verse another person that challenging maybe my teacher.
Bessie Coleman
LI: to make connections with prior knowledge, or to gather information across texts to form an opinion. For reading we had to see if our new aviator has any connections with the main 4 aviators. I chose Bessie coleman because on Wikipedia the information looked very interesting. I found 4connections with the main 4 aviators.

Current Events
This week for my can do I did Current events. You have to get an article from Kiwi Kids News or Time for kids and use the 6 hats that each have a different color and has a question on it a you have to write down the information. My Article was from Kiwi kids news it was about the All Blacks when they thrashed Argentina 57-22. I found out lots of interesting stuff like they have the highest winning percentage rate in any sport and how they have won the last game against Australia that was also a thrashing.
