TinkerCad - Design Process

Today at tech we created a google slide on how to use TinkerCad. I took screenshots of what I was talking about to give people a better understanding. The first time I used TinkerCad I found it easy because my graphics teacher Mrs Ferguson helped me a lot. 

Graphic Design - Me!!

Today was our first session back at tech. Firstly we got into our new teach groups. The group I was in went to Graphic and Design. It was awesome we had to create our own avatars then show what we like or do on a DLO.

Tech Reflection

This year was the year 7's first time going to tech at Tamaki College. This year I did digital tech with Ms Anderson, food tech with Mrs Heka, and graphics with Miss Ferguson. They were all great but my favourite is food tech. In food tech we made some nice food and did some boring paper work.The first thing we made with Mrs Heka was an Oreo milkshake and the last thing we made was a moist chocolate log. They were both my favourite thing to make besides the pizza we made. With Ms Anderson we made a short animation of a problem that effects New Zealand, littering. This is a major problem in a lot of countries. With Ms Ferguson we learnt how the laser cutter and the 3d printer works. I have learnt many skills from these activities like how to use scratch, how to make chicken goujons and how to use a 3d printer. These were some of the many skills I learnt this year thanks to tech.

Tech-Design

Today we went Tech. It  was fun we were drawing 3d shapes like a cube, a cuboid and crating. We had 2 pieces of paper I learnt a new word isometric. Isometric means having equal dimensions. It was very challenging to colour in properly or count properly. We also learnt about tones we found out that tone is like colour or music. We made a 3 by 3 cube. In the front we had to colour dark and has hard as you can on the top you had to colour as light as you can and on the sides we had to colour not that hard and not to soft.

Tech-Design

Today we went to Tech. We were finishing of our design for the people we are making the jewellery for. After that we had to draw a oblong and your favourite animal. I drawed a Dog, Dragon and a Unicorn animal. Then we had to trace our picture on a smaller paper. It was really fun I can't wait until we get our design's 3D printed.

Design Tech

Today at Tech we had to make an eye and a cartoon character it was very challenging. I hope we can do the same thing again next week but harder.

Tech-Graphic

 Today at Tech we had to create an eye in Tinkercad. It is a fun app to use. We just had to use cylinders it was very easy for me I had to go help a lot people. We had to rotate 1 of the cylinders 180 degrees. We had to group a lot of cylinders. It was very fun to use.

Design-Tech

 Today at tech we got taught how to use Tinkercad it is a fun site to use we had to video a new skill that we learnt and made ourselves name tags. Mrs.Ferguson showed us a little bit of the laser cuter. It smells but is awesome to look at and I can't wait untill we use it.
